FCP has also developed an indicator sensitive to thermal lockout. These devices are used in differential pressure indicators to prevent false activation below a predetermined temperature. The objective is to avoid unwanted indications during high fluid viscosity periods, such as when starting aircraft.
HOW DO WE PREVENT FALSE ACTIVATION IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS?
Although hydraulic oil won’t freeze at extremely low temperatures, it doesn’t move well when it’s cold. Our sensitive indicators are also used in hydraulic systems during cold weather to prevent thermal lockout and deregulation of the system’s fluids.
